Clinton supporters are furious with the Democratic National Committee, for its decision to not “count the votes.”
The votes of 368 delegates from Florida and Michigan were initially voided altogether because the two states held their primaries in January, earlier than party rules allow.
This weekend the DNC voted 19-8 to seat the delegates at the Denver Democratic convention, but only half a vote for each delegate will count toward the official tally deciding the party’s nominee. This is sort of like the Three-Fifth Compromise of 1787, which gave black people the right to count as 60% of a human being. Actually, it’s nothing like that at all–unless you’re privileged and confused and feel entitled to things you haven’t earned, in which case, you probably long for the days when the master race didn’t have to “shut up” about the inherent “inferiority” of others; on special occasions, you might even throw strange tantrums in public to raise awareness about the plight of whites.
This weekend’s DNC meeting festivities provided one such occasion. Protesters congregated outside the meeting’s hotel to urge the committee to count all of Florida’s and Michigan’s delegate votes. When that didn’t work, they resorted to playing the race card.
One particularly irate Clinton supporter, Harriett Christian, feels these latest developments are indicative of a larger societal problem: the subjugation and oppression of the wealthy, well-connected white woman at the hands of “inadequate” African-Americans (the legacies of slavery, segregation, and the three-fifth compromise not withstanding, of course).

You know, I actually found myself at a bar sitting next to Ms. Christian shortly after she got the boot for making her rather outspoken pro Hillary remarks. Harriet Christian (whose name bears no resemblance whatsoever to that of Hillary Clinton) has the Hillary Clinton tattoo. Harriet says, you want to see my new tattoo? So, she hikes up her dress and sure enough, there’s Hillary on her inner thigh. You know who this is don’t you? This here’s Hillary Clinton, the next president of the United States. Bet you can’t guess who’s tattooed on my other leg, she says, hiking her dress even further. I look at her other thigh, but the likeness escapes me. I don’t recognize the other face, I said. But I’d know that one in the middle anywhere – that there’s Sandy Berger: http://theseedsof9-11.com
You may speak of Ms. Christians tat’ but do you have any thing to write about that is noteworthy. She certainly has spoke for a whole lot of Americans who are feeling exactly the same, that the DNC has shoved Obama down are throughts but guess what we will shove harder up theres. Made as Hell 50 yr old American of Color.
Reverse descrimation….
“Do you have any thing to write about that is noteworthy.”
Anita, there’s no need to write anything at all, actually. The small-minded racism of Clinton’s base speaks for itself, and is plenty noteworthy.
YOU GO, HARRIETT and SEND LENNON’S HIT ‘WOMAN’S THE NEGRO OF THE WORLD’ TO HOWIE DEAN, AXELROD AND OBAMA! ALTHO I’M SURE THEY KNOW THE LYRICS BY HEART AFTER A YEAR’S PRACTICE, EH!!
It’s about time somebody said what hundreds of thousands of women are feeling. The sexist media and Obama’s undergrounders have tried to diminish, denigrate and insult Hillary’s womanhood from Day #1. It’s a shame that they’re so culturally impotant to fear a competent, strong woman like Sen. Hillary Clinton! So, Barack gets a free pass the first 4 months; thus, he gets ahead thanks to media fratboy misogynists. Watch the CNN Howard Kurtz special: MEDIA AND MISOGYNY with Carol Costello and Marie Cocco…enlightening…
Perhaps in November we’ll find out that OBAMYOPIA IS A CURABLE AFFLICTION!!
thanks harriet, sorry, but you haven’t come a long way at all….but baby barack sure came out of his political baby carriage runnin’ not crawlin’…after knocking down Sen. Alice Palmer–the AA woman who was his mentor! That’s why he got this far. Knocking down strong women. Mayube Hillary will break his record…He had the nerve to …wathc YuTube’s “Obama give Hillary the Finger” What an immature jerk….
Take a deep breath, Mary, then try again. The ones bashing Hillary’s womanhood during Barack’s “four month pass” were the same clique whose bandwagons you profoundly jumped on during Hillary’s slide to second place. Hillary’s crying is irrelevant but Obama’s pastor is top news? Wake up–it came from the SAME FoxNews smear campaign. They just started ignoring Hillary because she was no longer a threat to the Right. It was her turn to take the “free pass” which she gladly did. Hillary convinced her supporters to start watching Fox and to PRETEND they’d defect to McCain because it became her only shot to win. As a result, the flimsy minds of Hillary’s supporters now feel as if they have nothing to stand for. And now that she’s out of it she will convince all of you to go back to Obama. Either that or you’ll have to stand with your principles for a change, which will require you to admit Hillary is a phony, one way or the other!
WOW!! I am an Obama supporter and a woman. I think we all can agree that this has been a tough time for everyone. The present administration has done a lot of damage to “our” country and the people who call the USA home. I say that to say that I understand the passion of Harriet Christian. I understand her frustration. I understand her dismay. However I am not sure taht I would have handled my frustration any differently if the shoe were on the other foot. Please….. my fellow Obama supporters let us do more supporting of our brothers and sisters who are in a “real” grieving period. It is natural for people to want to vent and express themselves when things do not turn out the way they think that they should. There are 3 things that we can do to unite:
1. Allow Hillary Clinton supporters to grieve without the nasty comments and unneccessary tit for tat comments
2.Pray, meditate for healing of the Democratic Party
3.Forgive
I pray that we can unite after this battle…. because we must prepare for the WAR in November.
Peace, Blessings and Abundance
Mia, I’m curious…at whom was the “WOW!!” directed? Such was my same response as my so-called “brothers and sisters” in the Clinton camp turned to racism and actively appealed to the Rush Limbaugh Right to sabotage the Democratic primaries.
Of all the hornets nests to stir up, that must have been a new low for a Democratic front runner.
On the one hand I’m moved by your sentiments, and part of me wanted to hang my head in shame and delete this post. To the Clinton supporters who rejected the “reverse racism” myth and never made petty threats to vote McCain, I have only sympathy. And I feel no desire to go “tit-for-tat” with those who bring up the ‘popular vote’ argument, which I feel is a solid one.
But I can neither support nor defend the Ms. Christians of the world. They don’t need to grieve so much as purge themselves of irrational anger. My way of empathizing is to denounce their racism, not nourish it. If they are good people they will soon recognize that attitude as not a welcomed part of themselves. You have to pull up hatred by the root of the weed. I just have nothing to say to the Left that knows better. I’d rather work to educate the Right. They too may soon be mourning for our country.
Mr Vorhees,
You appear to be a very intelligent man and I respect your opinion. The problem is that you have a problem with everyone else’s opinion. I am not asking you to defend or support Ms Christian’s views, I am only requesting that you “respect” her views. Take the high road. Those are her views and clearly she is passionate about her views and what she believes in as you and I are. Also it is not up to you or I to determine how long Hillary Clinton supporters should grieve and be angry. Some of your comments appear to be condescending and rude and if you want people to possibly see your perspective ….I think you need to be kinder and gentler.
I hope that you understand where I am coming from.
Please Take Care of Yourself and I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers
Mia
I do believe that the condescension you are sensing from Mr Voorhees is actually directed at the behavior of both parties, the news media, and the blind, easily impressionable masses. Personally, I would find it easier to come up with some gentle kindness for Ms Christian (and her like) if I really felt that they BELIEVED in their candidate. Now – before you jump down my throat on that one – can you honestly tell me what the MAJORITY of Clinton (and even Obama) supporters are passionate about? Their respective policies and plans for the future of our country? Or is it passion for the IDEA of having a woman or black nominee, mixed with the “He/She is not Bush” factor that we saw with John Kerry? I am a Democrat, but like Obama said last night, I am an American first. All Americans have the right to their own opinion, just as they have the right to base that opinion on as little knowledge of the realities of corporate American politics as they choose. So while I honor Ms Christian’s right to state her opinion, I have no respect for what the woman actually said.
Yvette,
I appreciate and respect your opinion(s) and I would never jump down anyone’s throat because although I may not agree with what a person is saying I respect their opinion. Like Mr Vorhees you appear to be extremely intelligent but are caught up on making “your point” and pointing fingers. I just believe that “we “can get more done as “Democrats” and “Americans” by focusing on the things we have in common and not magnifying the things that create division.
Peace and Abundance,
Mia
But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked.
Luke 6:35
Mia,
You’ve response was lovely, but I would still be interested to hear your thoughts on the questions that I posed.
Yvette
